About the Author
My name is David Dye. I taught for more than 30 years in grades 3 through 11, and I hold a master's degree in education. Every book on this site started as something I wrote for my own students, because what I had wasn't working.
As I began to have more success with my lessons over the state-adopted curriculum, others
started to notice. Soon, I found myself giving impromptu writing workshops. My friends who
homeschool started using my material and sharing it with their friends. Eventually, I began
giving formal trainings throughout my district to help improve the quality of our students'
writing.

The lessons in every book on this site have been taught and retaught until they are as efficient as possible.
